we all subconciously live as though we are going to continue living forever, i think tis is the best representation of "faith" embeded in living organisms, even though we all know that we are going to die anytime, deep inside, we juz dun admit it. not saying its bad though. Lewis seems to believe that this is one of the evidence in pointing towards a common Moral Law in all of humanity.Originally posted by HENG@:dun have leh? the psy students here just go clubbing a lot and drink a lot or else just like my psy flatmate hammer away at his X-Box non-stop.

I don't know if we can apply that as a universal rule. Another perspective on moral law is that religion has been used, at least in part, as an instrument of social control, and concepts such as heaven, hell and karma are elements of immanent justice. While the development of different cultures has resulted in overlaps in ethical codes, it does not necessarily point towards an innate moral code.Originally posted by Ito_^:we all subconciously live as though we are going to continue living forever, i think tis is the best representation of "faith" embeded in living organisms, even though we all know that we are going to die anytime, deep inside, we juz dun admit it. not saying its bad though. true nuff, or perhaps we ourselves are the instruments to create religions, and cultures.. oh well.Originally posted by Gedanken:I don't know if we can apply that as a universal rule. Not a lot of people can recognise this. What scientists cant explain, they try to fill in the gap by using religion. Reading the Creationists vs Evolutionists thread in EH will give u some ideas.Originally posted by Ito_^:true nuff, or perhaps we ourselves are the instruments to create religions, and cultures.. oh well.
