  Nope, not a psychology student but I studied Cognitive Psychology, though not in depth. That was for use in my Human-Computer Interaction module.

  As you know Cognitive Psychology is just one of the many perspective in Psychology. You can try reading up on Psychodynamic Perspective. Very very interesting approach.
