Oh, I forgot to mention - one of my secondary school classmates finished his Psych Honours and joined the Ministry of Education. After a year, they sponsored his Master's in the UK - I think he's bonded for 4 years. If you're strapped for cash, this may be an avenue to follow.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the bond - it's not for everyone, but the option's there just in case.
Alternatively, you could do a part-time Master's by Research, and make an arrangement to be supervised privately in the course of your work. However, note that it's not easy to find someone who's going to commit as a supervisor that way. Ultimately, doing your supervised practice as a student is still easier. Also, working full-time and writing a thesis at the same time is not easy - I did that during the last year of my doctorate and it was a miserable experience (despite the fact that I broke the department record for fastest-written thesis ). -

I just took my final exam this Oct. Results will only be out in Jan 2005. So I really have no plans yet.
I am thinking of child development or social services. Oh, I am from SIM-Open University.
By the way, which area will you be covering? Just curious.

hee....right now nothing much to ask though gedaken......only prob what i have to do to earn the cash for postgraduate studies after graduating......was thinking of social work.....or go into engineering ..coz got diploma in that...not sure about the social work scene...
poet studying in SIM? how's the environment there? heard that u are expected to be very independent...coz not much spoonfeeding. -
Poet , my goal is to practice psychology la...that's why i think until postgraduate....not much prospects if u stay a undergraduate in PSy. That's what i felt after talking to ppl and checking out other forums....
Well, i 'm thinking of taking couselling, organisation psy ...either Abnormal or cognitive psy in the future when choosing my electives. -

Personally I think the environment here is quite good, tutors are usually very responsible, nice library, great staff, good food, etc. BUT school fees quite expensive loh. -

I see you will be doing Abnormal Psychology. I don't have a chance to study that in school, wasted, should be very interesting right.
