how come cannot see pic in webpages

  how come recently when I surf the net, pics just dont load? at the bottom of the browser it says "loading blahblahblah" but no picture comes out.

  what browser you using? IE, mozzilla or Opera?
  because IE wont says 'loading blahblahblah' , it say 'opening pages blahblahblah'
