Who still using ball mouse?

Me, I still using a logitech oem SGD$6.00 roller ball mouse I got from SLS. Will be making a switch to optical come november when I can get access to SLS again. I just don't get the response and precision I require when CSing online anymore. Your opinion, microsoft or logitech optical mouse? I going for cheap oem ones. I'm not going to invest in bluetooth, wireless or whatever technology throws. Just looking for a logitech or microsoft opitcal 3 button mouse w/ scroll.
Translucent casing would be a plus, I like to see the red glow in a darkened room.

i use optical mouse to play cs, when without mousepad, it decrease my mouse sensitive,l when bought a everglide mousepad and mouse surface, man my shooting and turning go faster

im using the creative USB op mouse, very cheap $16 only. look very nice.
but i facing a problem.. the light in my mouse wont shut off when i close my PC. why har?
try other op mouse also like tat. only this time hor, the light really very bright. other old op only have the red senser ON.

i think op mouse is the best. why leh?
ball mouse is heavy-because of the ball and need to clean inside from time to time.
cordless mouse -heavy due to the battery. -

i oso have a lapmate optical mouse.....with the ah beng blue light.......
most of the time i rub my finger against the navigation pad of my laptop....... -
Personally don't think there's a difference.
It's the brand. It does strange things to people. -
I'm so tempted to take the microsoft ones at uni. But they've recently swapped it with HP oem ones. Haiz.

I'm using a Microsoft optical.
2.5 years old.
left mouse button not sensitive already. Scroller spoilt.
Hope this doesn't prejudice your judgement when buying.

Still the price tag and the bling factor(read:fancy glow). My mind still pretty set on either logitech and meecrosoft, coz they proven themselves to me.

logitech PS2 mouse..
quite steady...
dropped a few times still can work..
simple 2 keys without scrolling wheel in middle.. -

I think USB? It looks like it.
My mouse is connected to the keyboard, and the keyboard is connected to a USB port in front of the CPU.
I kinda like the ball mouse... It's heavier and feels better holding it.
But sometimes it doesn't move well.
