windows messenger spam

  Hi, can someone tell me how to turn off the windows messenger? not the one used for chatting.....

  you mean u use MSN messenger, but wants to close Windows Messenger?
  go windows mess, click options, untick all the options in the General tab.

  i think is the auto pop up ad from window send. i also face this problem before but dont know when or what software i instAll have stop the pop up.

  Oh... Dont Install MSN Plus.. If you installed that it will pop up ads and lots of
  rubbish.. It can be uninstall.. but i cant remember now leh. Good Luck.

  issit the one used for pop-up messages?
  
  if it is, look for the services list (goto Run > services.msc)
  
  and then disable the service Messenger.
