spybot is good.. but they can't remove all.. the best is to buy MAS 2005 anti-spyware software.. btw, for xp users, rem to click off yr system restore b4 doing the scan or else the virus will be still there

There's this software called peerguardian that guards against unwanted intrusions. So you can use klite and BT in almost absolutely peace of mind. Unfortunately, its a CPU resource muncher that can make your processor work at 97% full time if your system runs on P4 2.0GHZ and below. So use it at your own risk. Your processing speed might drop drastically and the processor work so hard, it goes above its normal operating temperature. The above is based on my own findings and experience.

For starters, switch your internet browser over to Mozilla FireFox. Then you can save system resources by installing one less pop up stopper.

I have that problem also. Damn.

what i did to clean my "corrupted" IE.
1. Open Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View, choose "Show hidden files and folders.
2. Browse to your profile C:\Documents & Settings\Ur Profile\Local Settings\Temp.. delete all the files in there.. If your computer having a few profiles, please delete all the files in their temp folders.
3. Delete files in C:\Windows\temp
Some ads remain as exe file in your temp folders and Ad-aware unable to detect the...
4. Next run Ad-aware, perform 2 scans as "smart scan" and then C:..
This should be able to clean your IE.. please DO not open your IE while Ad-aware scanning...
I used the above methods to clean a few computers liow..

For my own personal experience the best way to do it is to boot into safe mode and do a scan don't know will that help??

after cleaning the IE.. consider to install ad-stopper software.. i prefer Zone Alarm 5.. firewall and could stop ads...
Mozilla not sure.. but seem like not affected by ads pop-up, see ppl used and quite happy with it.. anyone can comment on it? -

The best method to employ spybotsd is to boot into safe mode, with minimal drivers running. You can be sure none of your spyware, adware or whatever the fuk you call it loads up at that point of time. spybotsd can only remove so much if they are running, but can do more for you if they're not.
