I am a 512KBPS singnet broadband subscriber... At first , when I ask the singnet broadband vendor, they told me tat singnet is on "dedicated bandwidth" , which means tat singnet broadband subscribers will get constant speed.. WTF!!! I have been a singnet subscriber for 1 yr plus... where got dedicated speed? In the afternoon, when I am downloading something from US websites, it is only 29 kilobits/sec... at night, I get maximum of 32 kilobits/sec... In singapore websites, it is 34 kilobits/sec in the afternoon... I have never hit 40 kilobits/sec in my 1 yr plus contract with singnet b4... Mind u!! I am using a 512K broadband leh... The maximum a 512Kbps can go is up to 64 kilobits/sec .. which means tat I only get less than half the promised speed... WTF!! give me tat kind of slow speed..??? I call the singnet technical hotline .. know wad they say? " Oh... Yur speed is in the normal range... " Talk cock lor... my frien who is using 512K also, got speed up to 40-50 kilobits/sec... me leh?? haiz... I very disappointed with singnet lor...
Choose Maxonline better.. though they r on shared bandwidth, but during midnight or early in the morning, u can probably hit 180-200 kilobits/sec , according to my friend in Maxonline.. but in the afternoon, it could be as slow as 60 kilobits/sec or slower.. so, there is no perfect... up to u guys lor...
