Unlikely to be a bad sector, or corrupted fat. It's very likely to be corrupted dll only.
And for further information how that can occur, if bismarck's winxp was original, he could call ms hotline for details. They are the professionals, I am just some wannabe. -
hmm.. just did a little checking up. that files belong to windows xp. you can try copying it into the system and see how.

it shld be due to musicmatch ....and while all the 3-400 popups are ard..cpu usage ard 100% constant.
then i frequently get emails frm mail servers replying back to me abt a virus i 'sent'
