Stained Glass

Plently of newly-renovated churches are getting stained glass installations these days. The one in my parish that was featured in Catholic News seems to get plenty of praise but it wasn't cheap.
Do you find that having such artwork makes for a more conducive environment for praying and reflection, or that it's an extravagance that could've funded something practical? -
Extravagance. My local church dosent even have stained glass.

Stain glass has been used for centuries to educate the laity. Why should this stop?

Stained glass has become a tradition, which gives many Catholics a sense of belonging (at least it works for me
)
It will not be an extravagance as the church will definitely have someone or a project committee to monitor the expenditure (to prevent overspending or spending unnecessarily). -
I think a well done stained glass can inspire devotion better than white walls and plain crosses. to me, it depends on the situation. a single major installation of stained glass for each parish is fine and useful in illuminating and enhancing the church hall, but any more is basically extravagance.

I attended the lunch time masses for All Saints Day and All Souls Day this year! -
