Who are you a Catholic?

For someone who is born Catholic and still remain faithfull as a Cathalic: Why do you choose to stay as a Catholic?
For someone who was converted or baptised later: Why do you choose to become a Catholic?
As for me, I'm a convert. I'm not too sure whether I had a personal experience with God before, because I can't remember any, but it was this verse which convinced me that Catholic is the one true Church- Matthew 16:18 - "On this rock I'll build my church and no gates of evil will triump against it."
Hope you guys can share your experience here.

Why do I stay Catholic? Hmm...
Nowadays people go to church to meet their friends and have fellowship. But I go there to visit Him. He is waiting in the tabernacle for me. So even if I have to go to church alone, it's not so bad. He is there to keep me company.
The best part is that He is there everyday. -
I am a born Catholic. But I left and attended Protestant Church after some time.
Years later, I decided to go back to the Catholic Church.
Why? During the period I was attending both Catholic and Protestant Church, I realised that Catholics are not as well versed in the bible as the Protestants. But they preach the God's love and the gospel by their actions instead of merely memorising & quoting exact words from the bible.
So I decided the only way for me to be close to God is to go back to the Catholic Church. -
I am glad that you choose to focus on God's love rather than showing to others how much you can memorise God's words and quoting them. I do encourage people to memorise God's words BUT we must show understandings in them. When we meet with trial and tribulation, it is God's words that comfort us and strengthen us to pull through. Not all believers outside of the Catholic Church are like what you described. I have seen believers in my church preaching God's love and the gospel by their actions too. -
