Feng Shui inside the home.
Home as a whole, The Hall and Stairs, The Living Room, The Kitchen, The Bedroom, The Bathroom and The Dining Hall/Room.
As we spent most of the time in the Bedroom when we are at home resting, sleeping, I will touch just on this.
Position of the bed is most important. You are at yours most vulnerable when you are asleep, which is why the bed should be protected.
if your bed is positioned behind the door you have no control over who is leaving or entering;
if you sleep under a large window the Ch'i entering or leaving the room may be too powerful;
if you sleep under beams or place where the roof rise to a point, you could be subject to headaches, nevous disorders, or general lack of energy;
if the bed is in an alcove or there are shelves directly above the head of the bed, you may feel under pressure or claustrophobic.
Ideally the head of the bed need support from a wall and should be away from the direct line of the door. Avoid creating cramp or oppressive conditions by clutting the room with furniture, ornaments, books, papers or full of waste-baskets.Things that are a no no.
do not hang or place a mirror directly opposite the foot of the bed;
do not place the head of the bed behind of the bedroom door;
do not place very bright light over the head of the bed since they disturb the equilibrium of the room and are said to cause eye-sight or liver problem. Use sofe colours and gentle lighting to create a feeling of tranquillity.
do not place bed under exposed beams and rafter;
any that run the lenght of the bed may cause headaches or nervous disorders;
any that run acrossing the middle of the bed is said to cause stomach disorder;
and any that run acrossing the foot of bed could result in swelling of the feet.
do not obstruct the flow of ch'i under the bed by over-crowding this space with shoes, bags or other belonging. It could creat dampness or cause backache.
Well have a good night sleep
