SET-UP:
you're provided with 2 metal rods, 2 metre rules, 2 retord stands, 1 piece of thread (at least 10cm) and weights ranging from 50 - 550 g. clip the 2 metal rods onto the clamps of the retord and suspend the ruler onto the 2 metal rods horizontally at 5.0 cm mark and 95.0 cm mark. at the 50.0 cm mark tie a loop and hang a hanger onto it. then put weights on in, be mindful of 6 readings. then take the height of the bottom of the ruler to the bench (labelled depression) for the respective weights remember to tape the loop at 50.0 cm if you're using a whole big loop (those who choose to tie 2 small loops can dun use tape) enjoy!
TABLE:
remember to include weigh, 2 seperate columns for loading and unloading and initial height and depression. then it will be the log of both datas
SHAPE OF GRAPH:
straight line
OTHER VALUES/MEASUREMENTS WE MUST FIND:
nothing else in this experiment
PRECAUTIONS FOR MARKING SCHEME:
make sure the set-up is steady. always check that the horizontal rule is really horizontal using a spirit level..
stcp
....
Win already. EXACTLY THE SAME. Even at the 5cm and 95cm marks. And the plotting of the log graph....
