SET-UP:
Rather easy piece of crap. You're given big big pieces of potatoes, cut into 2 similar seperate pieces, same size (3 x 3) cm.
Take one and sub-divide it into 27 small cubes of 1x1 cm.
now you have 1 big 3 x 3 cm cube and 27 small 1x1cm cubes.
let's call them A and B respectively
they will prepare some sucrose solution for you.
the experiment goes by weighing the increase in weight of the cubes. pour equal volume of sucrose solution into two containers. then put the 2 stuffs A and B into seperate containers. starting timing your watch for 1 minute intervals. then take out the stuffs and weigh them on the electronic weighing machine. record the increase of weight.
TABLE:
remember to include weigh, 2 seperate columns for A and B and initial weight, final weight and percentage change
SHAPE OF GRAPH:
no graphs involved here
OTHER VALUES/MEASUREMENTS WE MUST FIND:
nothing else in this experiment
PRECAUTIONS FOR MARKING SCHEME:
remember to keep table clean and put knife away. keep container closed at all times with anything to prevent evaporation, same for the potato specimens.
