Can feelings be developed over time?

Got a very simple question here..
Do you all believe that feelings can develop over time? As in right now, there is a guy who likes me but I don't really like him that much yet...not as much as I like the other guy tho, the one who hurt me a lot...
But I have been going out with him, sometimes very touched also la by the things he has done for me...but still the feeling is not quite there yet. Do you think I can develop it over time? Do you believe that love is something that takes time to grow?

Love is a feeling, it can grow!!!
Better to be loved than to love another.
Although I don't practise that lah since I feel it is unfair to the gal. -

There was once I think he wanna gave up on me already...like 2 weeks din contact me or anything then I keep wondering if he still likes me..

i cannot tahan oledi...waited too long oledi..1 and 1/2 years and like got no response from him...and kena "rejected" oso oledi the other day...
i just tink dat mebbe i shud treasure ppl who care for me more..

Thats why I always bring my GF out for a walk in weekends, incase 1 day he leave me I won't feel so guilty -

as said over msn...... i believe it's easier for gals to develop the Ri Jiu Shen Qing feelings for the guys and harder for the guys to develop those kinder feelings for the gals..... this is deduced from some of my closed buddies' experiences.....
