  the rating system is self-descriptive, it is based on activity. it's based on the number of post, and how actively it's being read. even if your post a thousand threads but nobody reads them, the ratings will be low.
  
  so the forum must have an identity, an interesting one.
  
  a way of generating traffic is to organise outings
