Other Half or Significant Other?

i was wondering how many of you have the concept that your bf/gf is your other half, how many have the concept that your bf/gf is your significant other.
When talking about Other Half, it clearly means that you are not complete, so you need another half to make you complete, which i think it's a selfish thought. What do you guyz think?
Also, when talking about Significant Other, it clearly illustrates that you are complete as well as your partner and both are loving each other completely, without lacks.
Hmm... okay. To make things short, What's your opinion of these two words?? And to you, what differences are there between them? -
u can also interpret "other half" as your cant live without the other half of you and he or she is another part of you which makes your life complete.
significant other to me is that the other party is significant to you, he/she means something to you, you care about his/her actions and wel being, but can you can still do without him/her.
but anyway, it doesnt really matter as long as the both of them truely love each other and always have the best interest of the other party in mind. -

I use the word Better Half...i think it means she makes up for skills Im lacking in..but usually I use it as a compliement to her.

hmm...I think I am sorta used to using the phrase "Other Half". But when I said that, I dun mean it in a way that I need my love to complete me as a person. More like, ever since I found him, my life has seem to become more complete, it has become more meaningful. Especially during my happy moments, I feel so much happier because there is someone I can share the happiness with. And now, everytime I woke up, I have something to look forward to. So that's what i mean when I said I have found my other half, he is someone who brings the meaning of completion into my life. Now I can't think of all the days spent before I meet him

i don't think it's selfish to want another person to complete you.. i think u'll be lucky if and when u find that person...
after all, our world is based on duality... everything comes in 2 don't u think? if there's love, there is hate... if there's poverty, there's wealth... if there is give, there's take.. why are there always 2 extremes and not 3? so it's probably nature's way to make a woman need a man to feel complete and vice versa...
but whatever the thinking, love itself shouldn't be selfish at all... -
