i guess I do love giving but sometimes it is just very tiring to keep giving when the other party doesn't seem to be as committed to giving as you...Originally posted by Joshua1975:"In reality, the only way a relationship will last if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give and not a place that you go to take."
This works when both understand and tell/show each other what is GIVE.

Not if those habits are not a result of your principles. I'm sure all of us have habits that are not govern by our principles. and since we are flawed, we may even have flaws that are in conflict with our own principles. the other person may have these flaws but if he shares the same principle, then both of you are working towards correcting those flaws. That is not compromising.Originally posted by icyprincess:but if you sacrifice little things, like your habits, isn't dat giving part of you as well?

I once heard someone says " It's not about finding the right marriage. It's about making the marriage right." My point here is have a candid chat with your partner, find out what your partner wants, seek more understanding. Life would be better if you know more about the truth rather than keep guessing and guessing and assuming and assuming...Originally posted by icyprincess:i guess I do love giving but sometimes it is just very tiring to keep giving when the other party doesn't seem to be as committed to giving as you...
