To hold is to remember?

  Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.
  
  199X - .. a winding path in a snowy town with 2 bags of things needed to prepare dinner for him.. ears and nose were not feeling.. hands were numb.. blood froze as my feet hurried to smother him with the smell of slightly burnt bacon.. the first touch of love. innocent, pure & very absolute.
  
  200X - ... a straight road.. cars zipping by and disappearing in flashes into the inky night.. feet hurt unbearably in 3-inched heels, breathful of vodka and teary eyed.. walking was never such sweet torment in that 4 hours when running away paled in trickles that rolled off my thickly powdered forehead.. had to sit for a paper in 2 hours time. the phone was very silent that night. love touched down. much later, i passed the paper with an A but i lost him and found a dancing & broken girl in me.

  sumtimes I dunno if it is better for us to remember all the beautiful memories or if it is better to have them forgotten...

  i would rather remember... for the memories and experiences are the stuff which made me what i am now..
  
  and remember? to remember, is to learn... and to hope is to live...
  
  with knowledge and with hope, perhaps, those delicate strands will eventually become an unbreakable chain...
  
  kitten.. sounds like you need a shoulder to cry on, and someone to hug for a while...

  Memories can be haunting n torturous.. haiz.. recent threads by sleepycat, jusgal n icy brought back some memories of mine.. oh well.. i might post sth in the coming weekends when i'm freer.. haiz..
