What it means to say I Love You

I love You used to be these three magical words..but lately I find that it has been cheapened by people who used it even when they don't mean it or when they are not even sure of what they are feeling. I have always restrained my usage of the word "love" whenever I feel strongly about someone because I don't want to use it until I am really sure it is love.
Being attracted to someone after a few days of seeing that person is not love, no matter what you want to believe in. I read somewhere that love is friendship caught on fire and for me, love cannot be without friendship as its strong foundation. I know some of you out there might disagree with me on this one, esp those who advocate love at the first sight, that you can meet your soulmate just as you look at him/her for the first time. That would be atrraction, lust, whatever you want to call it, but for me, it is definitely not love.
Before I can truly say I love someone, I should not only be able to list all the good things about him, I must also be able to list out all the flaws and be convinced that i can accept them.
I do not use the word "love" often. But when I say it, you will know I really mean it. I haven't said it to anyone yet so far actually, I did tell my ex crush I like him but I never used the word "love". I guess it will be reserved for someone special...

I have gone through the phase when I thought:
infatuation=love
lust=love
friendship=love
well I still think that friendship has to exist if I get into a r/s with someone, but it has to have something more than dat

I don't think a guy would ask this kind of question, that's why kind of hard to answer.
Simply put, I don't think guys need to feel anything except lust for a one night stand -

When a girl says "I love u", an overwhelming majority of men will reply "Me too" instead of "I love you".
N less den 1/3 of men mean wat they say when they say "I love you". Most of the time they r compelled to say it juz to please their spouses n shut them up.
