Is it wrong to do things by myself?

  Is there something wrong with doing things by yourself? Like going to the movies by yourself? Everytime I told people I do that, they would look at me with this pitying look, i really hate it. And when I told people I went shopping alone, most will either scoffed or asked,"Why you go alone??", as if it is a crime to do so. Actually I prefer to go shopping on my own, dun get me wrong, I love it when he went out with me several times when I wanted to shop, but thing is I wun feel so guilty when I am doing it on my own cos I can take my own sweet time and dun feel like I am wasting someone's time when I went to the dressing room to try on like 5 clothes and they have to stand outside the room and wait for me.
  
  And sometimes I feel like going on walks by myself, people oso tink that is wrong...sigh.

  i like doing certain stuff myself too. like sitting in the library reading etc. don't see anything wrong with that.
  
  i admire girls who can watch horror movies alone. I remember seeing 3 girls at different seats alone in the same theatre. There I was screaming my head off and they were so calm. totally amazing..

  same here. i prefer doing shopping alone.. sometimes, it's so much better to shop alone. let's say if i go shop with my friends/sis.. i find it so hard to buy things.. cos i care abt the comments they given.. in the end.. i end up buying nothing.
  
  but of cos, if i shop alone, i will buy too much things. haha..

  oh hehe. I can't watch horror movie alone. Since very hard want to find people to watch with me, I just stopped watching.

  well i dun think doing stuff n shops alone is sumthing bad as i had used to it so i dun really cares wad ppl think or comment
  but if he wan to shop wif mi i dun mind i jus dun wan him to wait for mi as i shop for my clothes or other stuffs

  oh.
  one thing i'll never do alone is.. to eat alone at foodcourt. i rather takeaway, and eat at home.. or just buy some fingerfood so i can eat as i shop.

  Most of the time I dun want to go shoping wif people cos yea, they comment too much, and I will feel like they should be doing something else other than following me all over the place. And who thinks it is a duty of a boyfren to accompany her girlfren to shop evtime? Actually I dun really care if he doesnt go shopping wif me, but my frens put pressure on me to force him to go wif me. I still din force him, but he went anyway cos I think he thinks I like him to do it. That's why I felt bad abt it.

  I alwaz do things alone.I go out alone,go gym alone,do everything alone.
  Whwn pple ask and i say i go alone,they give me a face like "Do u have to be that loner?"

  nah...think its pretty normal ba....all ppl needs to hab a time when they do things alone.....a world or time when its really 'theirs' ba....

  I find that there is nothing wrong with doing things alone...I go to the movies alone and go out alone sometimes...Even though maybe a little lonely at times...

  sometime when shopping alone.. i can go into which shop i like..
  buy the things i like.
  but when shopping wif someone eles.. or wif a grp of frends..
  i tend to juz follow them..
  they wanna go which shop den i will juz follow.
  tats kinda bad huh..
  
  but i dun dine alone.
  if i were to dine alone,i rather dun eat..
  sometime i will pity those who dine alone..
  tats the only thing.
  
  but go shopping alone.. catch movie alone..
  tat seems rather alrite to me..
  its something everyone has to do..

  I know it is alright, even enjoyable sometimes but I cant stand those stares people give me when I told them I went out alone. They will assume I have had a tiff with him and then asked all sorts of questions.

  i go to see movies by myself, go to restuarants myself, walk shop myself and even go bowling myself.
  
  i see it as perfectly normally lor..but me guy.
  
  think those who "pity" us is that they are the "sociable" people, not that i not sociable, i very sociable one, but its that sometimes you could do things on your own better mah...
  
  like shopping, then pple will be waiting for me..etc,
  see movies i also last-min, walk walk then see got good movie, then buy tickets, can watch liao, dun need prepare..etc.

  Of course it's not wrong to go to movies alone or shop alone!
  
  That's even better than going with friends...
  
  You will appreciate the movie more, more focused...
  You can shop better at your own time, own leisure pace...
  
  In fact, people who can't go to movies alone or shop alone are pathetic...
  They can't even do things alone... Are they so scared of spending time alone by themselves? They think they are not entertaining for themselves?

  i dun mind. i oso prefer to be on my own sometimes. for eg shopping, i can take my time browsing thru & trying on coz i dun make up my mind fast. i will consider this & tat b4 i make a decision.

  I have not tried watching movie alone but i enjoy going shopping or taking a walk alone. Dun mind eating alone too. Sometimes I just wish to be alone. Need some quiet moments.

  yea me oso, sumtimes the movies I want to watch they dun like to watch so dun wan to feel bad by making em go and watch it with me...
