Usually as a regular SMRT commuter, I would let people alight first, even the door closing signal has sound out. Normally, the train operators won't closed the door if you(the one boarding the train) are standing outside.
But there are usually a majority of Singaporeans, especially West side people, rush into the train when the train door open. Forcing the alighters to dodge here and there or exit the train like a crab(walk sideways).
Especially those aunty and "Ah MAs" who may know the rules but hack care. They will just push their way through to look for empty seats. Wah pianz.

Lucky i don't need to face these problems everyday... but when vehicle break down then LL...
