a nice gesture by my neighbour

my dad instructed my mum to tell the newspaper deliveryman not to deliver papers on the days we were overseas because it's a sure sign we are not in. but she overslept and couldnt tell him.
and so we went on with the trip and the morning after we returned my mum called the vendor and they said they delivered the papers and apparently someone took it because the sat papers werent there when the vendor came to deliver sunday's papers.
at first i thought "which idiot stole our papers!!!" then at night my neighbour who stays opp my home came over and delivered our papers for the past few days to us. they kept it for us while we were away! i was quite happy when he delivered the papers personally to us because these days, few would do such things voluntarily.
though it's just papers and we would probably be lost for a few days, but it was really nice of them.

Yeah, know what you mean... I too have great neighbours.
Once, while the entire family went on a vacation (I was stuck at home due to work), I came home sick, real sick. Imagine downing a bottle of hard liquor at a go... you'd imagine how I crawled home. My Indon neighbours saw me and immediately rushed to my help. I was surprised. She made sure I got to bed, had medicine delivered to me with a small meal. When I woke at night, she must had saw my room lights switched on, she sent dinner.
I must say, how many neighbours will go that extend? -

some neighbours are damn nice.
but it's dumb neighbours that make those u describe look like angels -
ya agree! i haf very nice neighbours too.. it's like if my family were to be away they will help us to water the plants at the corridor and keep our papers...from time to time they will also share some of the delicacies they prepared.. sometimes they might juz stop over for a chit chat.. it's these neighbours that brighten the days ...

i envy all those who has nice neighbours. I tot we r nice neighbours but my next-door neighbour thinks otherwise. Neighbours from hell???
