Hong Kong actor Joe Ma is embroiled in yet another scandal while filming in China, following his previous incident with fellow actress, Rose Chan.
Joe recently concluded filming for a drama in Wuxi, China, which also starred singer-actor Eric Suen, who shot to fame with a ballad Love Story, Part 1 in the early 90s.
Earlier this month, the two actors attended the drama's farewell banquet, which saw everyone drinking to their hearts' content as the group partied from 10pm to 3am the following day.
After the dinner, Eric and a female makeup artist exited the restaurant first. The girl, who was clearly drunk, shouted, "I want a hug" and Eric acceded to her request, hugged and caressed her. However, he left not long later, and the girl was seen sitting on the stairs alone.
Joe then walked out of the restaurant and when he saw the makeup artist sitting on the stairs alone, the actor walked up to her and stroked her long hair gently. His lower body was facing towards the girl's face, and he swayed in front of her for about 10 minutes. Then, Joe helped the girl up and the pair left in the same car.
Eric released a statement through his management agency, in response to the report. The company said that the publication's choice of words were untrue and defamed his reputation, adding that "a misleading report [like this] could affect Eric Suen's reputation and integrity".
On the other hand, Joe had yet to comment on the report at press time.
