The two Hong Kong actors were said to have forcibly kissed their co-star
Yesterday, the Hong Kong media reported that actors Benny Chan and Joe Ma denied rumours of kissing their 19-year-old co-star Rose Chan forcefully.
Benny even insisted that the most intimate action he did was placing his hands on her shoulders and had retorted, "What did I do? Why should I apologise?"
The actor even took to his microblog to defend his actions.
"I'm wrong. It's my fault for being too hospitable and being true to friends. We were filming in Hengdian, and everyone went out for a meal together. I apologise if the exaggeration of my actions caused my friends to be unhappy and my family to worry about me. Lastly, I thank my wife for her trust in me. I'll be careful with my words and actions in future," the actor wrote.
Netizens then lambasted the actor for being too frivolous.
After photos of the pair kissing Rose were published, Benny admitted his action.
"My playfulness brought trouble to everyone and shocked Rose," he wrote on his microblog.
The actor also emphasised that he had looked upon Rose as a younger sister and had no ill intentions towards the actress.
Joe, who had previously denied he had hugged Rose forcefully, commented, "I drank alcohol that day, but I was sober. When I saw that Rose was unhappy, I showed concern but did not do anything improper."
The actor updated his microblog, saying, "That night, Benny was improper [towards Rose] because he was drunk. I regretted not stopping him in time. Later, there was a misunderstanding when I comforted Rose and I hereby apologise to her. I've already explained to Rose's manager and I've reached an understanding with him and Rose."
Yesterday, Rose returned to Hong Kong, accompanied by seven Wing Chun masters. The actress wore a mask and did not attend to any media enquiries. It is believed that Rose will hold a press conference today and will make a police report.

The eyesight of woman at the extreme right of the photo have already revealed that all the events were a set-up for the two chee ki pehs to fall into.
If it is not a set-up, the woman could have stop them but she looked very sober using the phone and looking directly at the photographers.
It is a good lesson for the uncles on falling into the trap.

Benny Chan apologises for harassing Rose Chan, vows to give up drinking
Posted: 24 November 2011 2057 hrsHONG KONG: Hong Kong actor Benny Chan held a press conference in Hong Kong on Thursday, to apologise for forcibly hugging and kissing actress Rose Chan, after having too much to drink during a recent group outing in Hengdian, China, reported Hong Kong media.
"Regarding the unpleasant incident that happened last week in Hengdian, I sincerely apologise to her (Rose Chan)," said Benny Chan before bowing deeply in apology.
"I admit that I drank too much that day, went overboard and unintentionally, unconsciously, did some impolite things to Rose. I admit I am really wrong."
"I regret my drunken actions which have hurt and disappointed a lot of people, especially my wife. She is preparing to be hospitalised to have a baby but was worried and upset [by this event], as were my fans," said the actor, who became emotional and wept bitterly.
"I thank my wife for her trust and support. I will turn over a new leaf to be a husband and a father who is willing to take responsibility and repent.
"I promise everyone that I will try hard to give up drinking, remember this lesson and constantly reflect on my actions. I hope Rose can accept my apology," said Benny Chan, who was accompanied by his wife, former model Lisa Jiang, at the press conference.
Both Benny Chan and his wife wept intermittently throughout the event.
Jiang spoke up in support of her husband despite her tears.
"Hopefully, everyone will give Benny a chance. He has really done wrong. He apologised to me and my baby and promised to work hard, give up drinking.
"I also hope Rose Chan can forgive him," said Jiang at the end of the ten-minute press conference.
Benny Chan was still weeping when assistants led him and his wife out of the venue, amidst constant camera flashes from the small army of photographers that attended the press event.
The story so far
Benny Chan's actions first came to light after paparazzi photos of him and Joe Ma becoming too touchy feely with 19-year-old actress Rose Chan, while intoxicated during a group outing in China, were published in Hong Kong tabloids recently.
Rose Chan held a press conference on Tuesday to address the matter and lodged a police complaint about the incident soon after.
She returned to Hengdian, China, to resume filming for her new movie after going to the police.
Ma had since insisted that he did not behave inappropriately toward Rose Chan and would take legal action against certain media outlets for inaccurate reporting and for publishing personal attacks against him.
Even as Hong Kong celebrities like Simon Yam and Eric Tsang criticise Benny Chan and Joe Ma over the incident, sceptics questioned if Rose Chan had set the whole thing up to gain publicity.
They point out that is highly uncommon for Hong Kong paparazzi to operate in Hengdian, yet it was the Hong Kong paparazzi who were present when the incident occurred and snapped the damning photos. -

28 Nov – The latest claim surrounding the Rose-Benny-Joe sexual harassment case is that actress Rose Chan enjoyed being groped by director Benny Chan and actor Joe Ma, which according to May Daily, was revealed by a film insider.
The case surfaced last Saturday when Benny and Joe allegedly sexually molested Rose against her will after wrapping up filming in Hengdian, China. While Joe has been cleared of all charges, the same can't be said for Benny.
However, a film crew member has stepped forward in the defense of both men, the person who was also at the group dinner that day said that "Rose did not resist" the initiation made by the men.
"Rose has always been a very warm person and often mingled with the male artists. Since the group dinner at the onset of the evening, Rose drank heavily and allowed the men present to greet her warmly."
He added Rose was drinking a lot, as usual, and was getting flirtatious.
"There were many sober crew members sitting around the table. However, Rose never left her seat or attempted to cry out, 'No!'
"Earlier, Rose was playing with Benny in the same manner and she had no problems with it."

Not every one is a saint.
There is a price for fame.
This is the third spot that they having fun for the night.
No body know what happened during the last two locations.
I am just amazed the reporters can stalked out on the right location and right time to capture such interesting photos without any help.
Even the young model with Edison are not as saint as she seems to be.
