14 Nov – Mandopop star, Jolin Tsai and one of Cleo's Eligible Bachelor, male model Vivian Dawson have been dating for a year and four months, however, it is not without its problems, for Jolin's parents appear to be against the relationship, according to May Daily.
The reason for their disapproval is Vivian's poor Mandarin skills, and the possibility that he would not settle down in Taiwan after marriage. As a countermeasure, Jolin's parents have tried to arrange dates for her with wealthy men, though through other means, instead.
But sexy 31-year-old appears to have her heart set on Vivian and refused to attend the dates.
On the other hand, Jolin has promised them that she will not have a flash wedding so her parents believe that they still have time and the pair will eventually break up.
At the age of 25, Vivian is six years younger than Jolin, and is of a Singapore-New Zealand heritage. The two of them starred together in her music video, "Love Player" in 2010.
