  The 1940s sex symbol Jane Russell passes on. She was 89.

  

  Making her debut in the legendary movie The Outlaw, she made her name in various great movies such as The Paleface, His Kind of Woman, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Double Dynamite, her hourglass figure and smoldering looks made her the pinup girl of the era along with the other greats Marilyn Monroe and Rita Hayworth.

  Untouched by scandal unlike her contemporaries, she retired from Hollywood and did charity work until her last days.

  RIP Jane Russell. You were one of the greats in the Golden Era of Hollywood.
