One thing I like about this drama is that the police are so fierce!!! LOL...
Previous police movies are like.. police are so gentle.... all very good.... this one a bit different.... Rui En always shout at the prisoners like they are nobody.... and then there's police corruption....
But the worst ever conversation in this drama was the part where the girl was being strangled almost to death by the "pervert"... all Chen Liping did was shout .... "COOL DOWN!"... Doesnt happen in real life.. especially when your friend is being strangled near death by an attacker without any weapon.... -
Xiaoman does not show any mercy against police who has broken the law, regardless of her friend or what. She has shown her integrity.

It shows us the different side of the police in the form of drama. But it's true that there are still corruption in police, but not that exaggerating - 15 years *LOL* (but you never know:D)
With regards to the part where you mentioned the girl was stranggled, if it was me, I'd done the same and shout "cool down". Reason? Nobody stranggle another person for no absolute reason, if you move closer or attempt to move closer, that person might be even more agitated and pressed even harder. Although he has no weapon, male generally have more physical strength than female (not to stereotype, but it's true), what's more the other is already weaken by his grasp. As a "mad man", he's even more dangerous to have direct (physical) contact with because his energy might be fulled from his anger...
It will be a different scenario, if you have another partner with you. Well, that's my five-cent. Although such thing seldom happen in real life, but even if it does happen, the best way is to play psychologically with the attacker...

My feeling is nobody would be so calm... and stand there and wait for the aggressor to strangle your friend to death.... Maybe will shout "COOL DOWN" but will go nearer to try pushing the attacker away....

Doubt got 2nd Series. If really got, will be really long-winded. Remember mediacorp last time also boardcasted about the outcome of 715 and Jeanette in Little Nonya which lasted about 5 minutes for the film due to requestment from the viewers. Hope it might go the same to unriddle.

I actually like how they left the ending hanging around like that, with no proper closure and lots of loose ends; it allows for a lot of interpretations by fans later on (fanfics, anyone?), and also helps set the stage up for a sequel, if they want to do it.
