  Has Gaile Lok and Leon Lai's two-year marriage come to a standstill?

  The couple has come under intense media scrutiny ever since they started dating in 2006. Even when they were exposed to have secretly gotten hitched in Las Vegas in 2008, the two stars have been unwilling to divulge details of their relationship.

  A Hong Kong tabloid recently reported that the couple had already split, but the report was refuted by Gaile.

  The model was at a fashion-design contest as a judge yesterday when reporters quizzed her on the report. She clarified that the two of them are still going strong.

  "We've always been okay. Although it isn't especially 'sweet', we are not facing any major problems either".

  She added that even if they were getting a divorce, she would announce it personally. To further refute the report, she said she does not know the editors or reporters from that particular tabloid well so there's no reason for them to be able to have any form of first-hand information.

  So was Gaile's mother - with whom Gaile is very close to - affected by the sensational report?

  "As long as I didn't call her, it means that the news is not true."
