Well, I only like shows which is directed by Lin Pei Qin (which is former Mediawork member!!!)
She had managed to bring the standard for Mediaworks like; Cold Storage Contest (Host by Bryan & Kym) etc....
Channel I also got a lot of repeated programmes. Both Channels 5 and I had bought a lot of overseas variety shows, soap operas, more than producing their own shows.

Subscribe to cable, cable has lots more to offer than the hopeless mediacorpse
You should show, Huang Wen Hong also goes Starhub there for the commendator.
If mediaworks still exist, mediaworks will have a co-operation with Starhub since Mediacorp is co-operating with Singtel.
Now, got Mob TV. Starhub might open another channel which will boardcast mediaworks' new variety shows, dramas and those recently boardcasted ones (for those who missed it yesterday can watch)

Try to watch current Channel U variety shows and their local dramas. Well, can say current Ch U crews have managed to bring a lot of quality ones, compared to Ch 8 crews....

Last time still got free selected BPL and UCL Live matches and highlights. Now, no more....
For me, I think Channel 8 dramas bring a lot of negative impacts on Mediacorp, especially the 'Hand in Mine' Most of dramas are far from the reality.
Mediaworks can groom more artistes to news reporter (Follow Wang Yan Qing and Everlyn Tan's footsteps) Unlike mediacorp, they decided to bring more foreign talents instead (Now I don't know where Liang Ni goes). What a waste of money...... end up still Tong Soo Hua, Huang Xiu Ling getting best news reporter awards in Star Awards.

Among all (grooming from artiste to reporter), only Evelyn Tan is Singaporean whereas Wang Yan Qing is from China.
As from others mediaworks news reporters, Zhang Hai Jie is fron China, Lin Wen Qing is from Malaysia (I think) whereas Lin Wan Fei, Li Shui Pin and Zhou Hui Min are Singaporeans. (Help me confirmation of their citizen status, thanks)

I mean MediaCorp tat side.
If I ever remembered clearly Huang Wenyong wasn't a Singaporean to begin with.

ch u one mainly outsourced ones leh...which leads me to an idea that maybe mediacorp should just outsource everything to outside studios..

it's ideal tat it would eventually be e likes of Taiwan, mostly done by indep studio houses for v prog and drama.

no more formulaic dramas and more telemovies like the promise from 360 productions and i'll be very happy...
Just don't make Ch 8 24/7 channel can already. Save money on boardcasting the show also.
mediacorp one company already can't even get advertising deals
Mediaworks tend to bring the drama to big screen within a month after filming (can say fresh from oven) whereas for Mediacorp, you have to wait 2 to 3 months after filming which is very long.......

SBC era was up till 12 midnight nia.
but I guess there are ppl who simply wants to watch TV to kill time in e wee hours (can't sleep or watever i.e. at coffeeshop eating late supper).
Add-on: There will be more & more mediacorp artiste to jump the ship (The last one to do so was Chen Hui Hui) and reunited with Kym Ng, Bryan Wong they all.
So far, only 2 persons: Michelle Chong (After loaning contract in mediaworks ended) and Jeanette Aw went to opposite side.
bring in more hong kong shows lar and less on taiwanese awful shows

Midnight can bring in LIVE UCL matches. Now, Ch 5 does not bother to buy the boardcast rights, unlike last time...... Maybe Ch 8 and U can also boardcast.

she is in her late 30s, going into her 40s soon. should be an auntie and plumber by now.
Actually, the idea of multiple media company is a good idea, the quality of the shows at that time was superb in my standards, more of the shows got close to ground, suddenly, the shows are more worth looking at where common people like you and me got the chance to be on TV.
Just look at shows now, Ch U has more or less revert back to the channel 8 standard with alot of reuse of old style and people that you see until sian, like Mark Lee, channel 8 see him, channel U also see him, like become unofficial Mark Lee hour. The style revert back to the tried-and-tested method AKA kiasee method, dun dare to try new stuff.
I dun know if it is ppl have left mediaco*k or internal politics that block the creativity, one thing for sure, the quality has went down hill after the merge.
