woohoooooo getting married soon!
maybe it's a natural reaction (i'd probably have the same reaction too if it were others), but everyone was like...
"dang, SHOTGUN marriage ah?", "wah aiming so good ah?"
problem is, my gf ain't pregnant leh. LOL.
perhaps it has something to do with me being only 23, but nothing wrong with marrying young right? heh.
anyone here got married early too?
Congrates, hope you hv seriously considered this.Hope you come from rich family,as it can be tedious & quarrel might start if finicial problem arise.(Dun mean anything hor)
Marry young mean you hv to work eariler to provide for your family.
Might need $3-4k to be able to live ok for household if you move out.Home eat $1k,house installment(cpf+top up cash),child (when study is happening),if got car then hv to add in,ownself expenses..
Of cos if you & wife share $ then it will be good for you.
Last but not least, every time go out wid your child is very exciting,hv to bring so many things..lik go overseas..
EDITED:Marry book cheap resturant or get package for hotels, use ang bao collected to pay for dinner..take wedding package can instalment pay.
Best of all, you can see how happy/exciting a lady can get when she trying the wedding grown.
lol no worries dude totally understand what you mean.
well our story is a lil complicated, but we've pretty much got everything worked out. we don't intend to have a child until few years later (we're taking good precautionary measures.. heh.), we don't intend to get a car until later too. as for house, we'll be getting one in a couple of years too.
so as for now, we don't have much financial burden like loan repayments and stuff..
just curious, what's your reason for wishing to marry so early?
Grats! Love is the reason i hope :)

we've been together for quite some time already, and it's hard to explain but inside we know that we love each other very much and that we're ready.
in fact it wasn't an impulse decision; discussed about it for a couple of months, ironed out some potential issues we may face, talked to our parents about it etc..

yea exactly, we wanna enjoy each other's company for a few years before having a kid which would kinda change things abit.. though we'd still be spending precious moments together even after having kids.

glad to hear it. personally, i'm struggling with issues also. i'm always constantly worried i'll be bored and let her down, or there might be quarrels which was handled badly, or sometimes feeling like my love tank abit empty etc.
how long have u 2 been together?

yea sometimes i do feel the same way as you, worried that she'll get bored.. but after some time together, i realised it's each other's company that we really appreciate so even if we just stayed at home and watched tv, she's happy already.. although of course i do think of ways to make things less boring like going for walks, watchin some nice movies or having heart to heart talks..
we've been together about almost a year, some ppl might think it's short but hey, love isn't measured by time. =)

ok. interesting. because most people view 1 year as honeymoon period, but hey, what do i know, really.
just a little gift of wisdom for you both - it's not about finding the right person, but being the right person.
and
in a perfect world, there won't be a need for apologies, but because the world isn't perfect, there must be apologies made.

you know what? really appreciate the lil gift of wisdom. thanks. =) though i'd have to say, that it's about finding the right person, and being the right person to the person whom you think is the right one. makes sense? =)
of course at times we would have our differences, but after a while we tend to see beyond our lil differences, and find ways to reconcile (as much as we can) these differences.
ahh, love is just a special thing. :)

Do remember always - not everyday will be a day of roses, but if you both have the courage to face whatever the day bring, in wealth or in poverty, it will be days of joy as you both have found companionship along the road of life, and never need to be alone again.
