I'm sure there's a number of pple wearing specs, contacts and shades..
which brand of eye wear preference do you have?
any opticians to recommend?
which brand of contact lens and solutions do u guys use?

solution: solocare
spectacles: no brand black nerdy frame with some stylo details
oni wear at home, badly abused by me -
biomedics is good and exp lol...
but i got astig..do u? so sianz, have to wear toric lenses..as my astig is more than 100deg..

oh! i bot 3bottles of solocare at 35 bucks watsons..at kallang leisure park...
just nice finishing my last bottle..
currenlty using oxysept...i think quite good in cleansing, and antiseptic power..since its peroxide solution..
but quite troublesome cos have to put a 'neutralizing' tablet each time, and have to wait 6hrs for the table to dissolve and allow the lenses to soak..in btw..cant wear e contacts, unless i have another bottle of solution of other brand..

i used to have shan guang.... quite high....
but the opto says my high degree can cover the shan guang
no need wear toric lens but specs got make correct shan guang lens
then over the years the shan guang reduce
now still got oni a bit.... no major problem with seeing at nite...
plus i dun drive......those neighbourhood lens shop sell the solutions cheaper....

my optician used to do tat..using higher power contact lenses to cover for astig, but after awhile my eyes 'cant see' properly cos the power too high, and i find it irritating to switch back to specs with a headache everyday after work...so switch to toric lenses..
yeah i drive sometimes, so really have to b careful about wearing specs or lenses..nowadays nv drive at night liaoz cos cant see...haha...saving a lil bit more then gonna change lenses for my specs..
while using contacts, my degree maintained quite abit..but for awhile when i didnt need to work, i didnt wera contacts, the degree seems to go up..sigh..

the opto did not up my degree to cover the shan guang
my degree IS oredi bery high itself
and both eyes same degree (or oni a bit diff)
i tempted to make new specs....
but i was thinking just change the lens..... too many scratches liao.... the frame still good... just tt a bit heavy and made imprints on my nose bridge.... quite pai kua
i have to cover with concealer -
tat time..my short sightedness only 225..tatz y need to up my deg bahz..keke
yeah! my frames are still in good conditions..only the lenses need to change..i dont really have scratches, only the bottom part of the lenses have been stripped off the coating..but suay, deg changed have to do something about it le..
really? e nose pad causes discolouring? issit too tight for you? i dont lik e nose pads to b pressing v hard on the nose..so gao weah..
mine okie lehz..only when jus taken off can see e mark..after tat okie le..
morning when i wake looks ok, only when i take off at night to sleep or wear whole day le then will see e mark..heng ar..

mine is those nerdy plastic frame
no have rubber nose pads
sometimes i wear for half the day at home, then go out in afternoon or night, then change to lens, then can see the imprints lohhhhhhhhhhh

lol..i super long nv wear those le..forgot its like no nose pads..sorry =p now i get wat u mean.. i wore those in Pri sch! haha
mine are half frames or frameless..

i do lasik now will be waste of money bcos im still using the computer intensively
after lasik if no take care or still having those "bad habits", still can get myopia again

fireice, try using swissflex, the frames weighs only 2 grams.
i'm using that because my right eye degree is very high and always leave imprint on my nose.

and oso to find out that my myopia has "improved"

freshlook colorblends color very nice and still feel comfy if worn for long hours

the site tt i have been buying contact lens from ordered to close down
so i found another site (which is not based in SG)
and tt site no carry biomedics
so im thinking of switching to acuvue clear, which me sis is using -

I know the optician personally. Wore his specs for a long time. Haha
He doesn't influence his customers to buy the most expensive lens. Rather he does the opposite. If your degree has not changed and there's nothing wrong with your spectacles (a few scratches here and there) he would advice you not to make them.
Prices are reasonable too. $70 ish for Hi index multi coated with Frame.

actually now lasik very affordable and many places allow interest free installment. You girls should give it a try.
I did mine three years ago. Very happy with the result.

i will go do lasik when i hit 1000 deg each eye. (i wonder wats the limit for contact lens)

I was 200 plus niah... I also lasik. cuz I was very very very very dependent on contact lense and glasses. And the only contact lense that give me comfort are those daily disposable kind, cuz they are the cleanest. When i calculate, I realised that my two years supply can pay for the lasik liao. So I just go. Plus I got SAFRA Membership discount. So the whole thing was slightly more than $2k niah.
