I have serious dehydration problem on the surface and very oily skin underneath, it is so difficult to take care. If I don't clear the oil on the face it will form clots that will lead to black marks. anyone can provide any help or suggestion.
recently after using dr secret, I have developed pigmentation on my face. any product to control this?
thanks.
eerr.. .i think u got the concept wrong
dehydration means water content UNDER the skin is low.
so skin is sallow, not firm, no bouncy
if skin is dry on the surface (flaky, peeling), u need moisturiser
oil will not be kept under the skin.... it will come out
u have to exfoliate regularly so the epidermis is cleared... so tt dirt and oil does not retain on the skin surface and clog pores
use clay mask to unclog pores and pull out the blackheads, whiteheads......
when the dead skin is removed, skincare products can be better absorbed to maintain hydration (toner, serum, moisturiserm, masks)
thanks, fireice. Have tried what you said but to no avail.
oh ok, too bad.

you have combination skin.
Dont wash too much. Use oil blotter & a decent moisturiser everyday & night, Scrub/exfloiate every week & a mask regularly.
After your facial moisturiser, put on a tinted sunscreen before going out in the day.
If your pigmentation means your skin looks boltchy or red in some places, it means your skins is sensitive.
Thanks, the serious dehydration could be due to lack of sleep. I sleep very late. Really feel the need to get those highly intense moisturiser or hydrating lotion/gel. Tried the samples from Laneige and seems to have improvement.

Combination skin cannot use too oily moisturiser or too drying a facial product.
You can also consider Biotherm products for a fresher face.
thanks. Ever tried their sample, don't really cater to my skin's need.
am now in OC California, my face skin has gone from reasonable, to totally dry and flaky on the surface and having really red blotches, mostly because of enzemes.
California weather is cool and dry now, and I expect my face will go worse when I go up to Seattle & Vancouver Canada.
Any advise/ I dont want to look like a red lobster when I go see some cute guys.

Sorry to respond one week later. Apply hydrating mask on your face everyday and apply on your face intense hydrating moisturizer and essence. Take care of your lips too while you are there. Easy for lips to crack in cold weather. Get those skin care brand that cater to sell seasonal skincare products. Saw on tv that those japanese brands skin care products do cater to different seasons needs.
Laughing out loud.
Too late liao lah. me back in orange county california liao lah.
I make do with a gentle face scrub bought from 'Lush' and a face scrub pad. Then its moisturiser and plenty of pressed powder to cover the redness.

Sorry for the late reply. It is always advisable to apply lots of moisturiser in cold weather. Take care of your lips as well.

Dry skin is easier to take care compared to dehydration. Still can't find solution to it, sad!
hmmmm...dyhydration even when drinking lots of water?
a masseuse after massaging a friend, tells her that she hs fuid retention so she is bloated.
he recommends that the friend drink only warm water, sip it so the water enters the mouth slowly and can be better absorbed instead of rushing it thru the body.
my ah sir who i nearly 60 years old also suggest that the body best absorb water when the water is warm and is sipped a hundred times in the morning.
me myself practise making accident victims sip water slowly instead of gulping water so as to clam them down and take water with some focus to the act. In other words. a glass of water, you sip one hundred time and I tell them sternly to sip and count the sips.
Drinking warm water has no such effect as mentioned by that man.
