how do u....
get rid of the bad smell of wearing covered shoes?
sometimes e feet sweating just gets so irritating, just wanna kick off the shoes, but then....the smell lingers..
some shoes smell damn bad some dont..how to choose those that dont?
Covered shoes are all like that wan.
There is this brand called Geox. Dunno how true it is that it dont stink.
Anyway, all covered shoes will stink in sg weather.
Try these often:
1) Sun the shoes often
2) Put in shoe balls and charcoal shoe bags you find in Daiso often
3) Spray shoe deodarants into the shoes before and after you wear them.
4) Scrub your feet when you shower with pumice and scrub gels, especially between the toes.
5) Trim your toenails regularly and clear away those dead skin and cuticles (Preferably after a shower/bath where your nails and skins are soften.)
6) Avoid applying lotion or creams in between the toe nails.
7) Wears Socks.
8) Apply foot powder before wearing socks. (I also tend to spray some of my body's deodarant onto the socks before I wears my shoes.)
9) Dont take off your shoes in public.
10) Opt for strappy sandals. For those gals working in the office, have at least a pair black colour kitten heeled mules under the office table. It looks much more presentable if a client suddenly walks into your office and you need to stand up and lead them or entertain them. It also will not look out of place in the office.
Actually, your feet does not stink.
Its the bacteria in the trapped air in the shoes reacting to your sweat to work up a pong.
And the bacteria/sweat/mixture then stick to your feet and even if you clean your feet with water, there is bound to be some areas you cannot properly scrub away. Sometimes, even soaping your feet dont work as well.
This post is about hygeine issues.
I was sometimes trying out clothes at the changing rooms and I found that the floor tends to waft smells of feet, even before I took off my shoes. Apparently, a lot of people must have taken off their shoes in the changing room to change into the clothes.
And they left their sweaty wet 'foot prints' onto the floor.
I think that is roughly where some of us can catch another person's warts and bacteria infections.
i tried powder, i tried talc, i tried sprays, i tried stockings, i tried socks, but none work well
airing doesn't help much either.....
best way is to change my shoes often aka always buy new shoes
Im searching for slip-ons of lacoste for like 3 months now. Cant find the ones that I like anywhere, not even on internet stores that ship to the netherlands. I've got a very distinctive taste i guess. I want very subtle slip-ons or very flashy slip-ons. Not something inbetween. I've found Orange slip-ons online but the store didnt ship to the netherlands. And I found white/silver/pink slip-ons which are female shoes so they aren't in my size.
I'll keep searching till i find lacoste slip-ons that i like.
I wonder what happened to that slipper that has no strap.
It clings to the soles of your feet thru some sort of kinectic or ions on the surface of that slippers.
Some reviewers claimed that they ran with the slippers to catch a bus in sg and it still sticked.
Wonder is there any shops that sells it in Singapore.
Now also wondering where can find those chinese cloth shoes that we see kung fu masters use to do kung fu and taiji.
i read tt frequent food scrub and pedi helps to remove dead skin can help reduce smelly feet........

same here =(
Then does those fish spas thingy helps to clear off the dead skins at your feet helps?
Anyone has experience?
My birkie hor......recently was not wearing.
Then the soles hor.....starts to have moulds. Really obvious white mold clusters.
Think its sg weather, sometimes wet, sometimes too hot so the feet sweat a lot.
Any ideas how to prevent further mold growth? I tried scrubbing the insoles and leave in the sun to dry. But sg weather too unpredicable....and I dont want to keep always have to scrub the insoles before I wear them every week!

Feet does not stink? But that doesn't explain how come some people (eg my mum) can wear my covered shoes and it doesnt stink, but when I wear (even shorter time den my mum) it stinks when I take them off.
Please enlighten.
I put talc powder, tried wearing socks, but still stinks!
Its the bacteria residing on your feet, that when introduced to your sweat, makes your feet and shoes stink.
What kind of shoes it is? That your mother wear, it dont stink, but you wear, you stink?
If really got such a shoe. I really want to see. Shoes that wont harbour bacteria to make different folks feet stink.
You know underarm deodarant?
Spray some onto your feet and socks before you wear shoes.
And remember to scrub and pumice your feet everyday in the shower.
Do not moisturise in between your toes and keep your toes clean by drying them with a towel. Also, have a nail brush to brush in between the nails and keep your toe nails short.
Last.....stop wearing that pair of shoes lah.

u mean the anti-sweat deoderant? yea good idea i go try. thanks!
weird thing about pumice and my foot is, even when i pumice the skin doesnt really come off. i bought the pumice stone from watsons. =X
scrub = pumice? or buy a bristle brush (for foot) to scrub?
haha means i throw away every pair of shoes i own? i tried washing before but the smell lingers in teh shoes. ack!
I find that powder, kinda collect the sweat and then was scattered in the shoes, thus kinda help to gather dust/bacteria into the shoe and stink up the shoe.
And powder in between your toes.....tend to soak up moisture, but they dont have anywhere to go. So they stay in your toes and cause a stink. Same with moisturisers.

Errr.....its only to help exfloliate away the dead skin. Not necessary to take all your skin off. Do it regularly, and especially when your skins at the bottom of your feet is soften during your shower, or after a food soak. (I find my dead skins...whitish colour skins are easier to slough off, after I have been swimming at the pool.)
Dont pumice the top of your foot, it hurts!. If you like, can also get a brush to brush the top of your foot,in between your toes and your toes to get rid of dead skin cells that will harbour the bacteria that make your feet smells.
And dont walk about barefooted in the showers, especially those public showers and toliets....you pick up warts, germs, ringworms & bacteria.
anyone can recommend me boots to buy for skinny calves? i got small calves..
thanks!
