To keep everyone updated,
We now have 19 submissions from 9 participants!
Since this round we have so many submissions, I have decided to increase the judges' votes from 15 votes per judge to 20 votes per judge.
By the way, do you think we should bring forward the submission deadline? -

Just a suggestion? Can we have all the participating poems together in a thread..? It'll be so nice if I can admire all the poems written by our fellow participants in an easier form..?>

Hi I am new here. Entering my work titled 'A passionate kiss'.
His face was forgotten but the touch is lingering so long
It is soft on the lips yet the feelings were so strong
His name was washed away by the sands of time
But why do I still feel it after a long time?
I burnt away all the photos he left behind
Threw away the memories in my mind
Yet whenever I put my fingers on my lips
A part of him remains on my lips.
He was not inside the phone album on my shelf
When or how we met, I'm not sure myself
However the tears wouldn't hold back
Haunted by the kiss he gave back.
It was a passionate kiss
A part of him I couldn't miss
Why does it remain on my lips for so long
When he is already gone? -

I will not be moving them to another thread yet. Like the 1st round, there will be another official thread (after the submission deadline) where I will post all the participating poems for open voting. (Each person will have two votes)
The result will also be announced on that thread. I don't want to have too many threads as it can be quite confusing and messy.
After the open voting is over. The judges will move in with 20 votes per judge, i.e. a total of 80 votes. The total votes will decide who is the winner of DPS 2nd poetry writing competition.
I am really looking forward to find out!
