i think we learn for a reason, to be able to apply our knowledge yah? and in the due process, everyone here picks up a bit of extra knowledge, its a win-win situation. 
You can resort to whatever technical definition you wish to justify it but ultimately, judges will have to bear in mind that the judgement should be fair. Using a third language to get around a prerequisite of the competition, in my opinion, is not being fair to the other contenders who don't have a similar proficiency in a third language. 'nuff said. -
