Moving out?

Most of us move out to have our own house (love nest) after married.
But if ur parents insist that u and ur spouse must stay with them, will u risk quarreling with them and have it ur own way?
What about those that are still single, do u think u would want to have ur own house in the future? -
for investment purposes, the newly wed should get their own flat... heheee...

A friend of mine, he is the eldest son, got one younger sister.
When he got married, he wanted to move out with his wife. His father was so angry that till now they hardly talk with each other, even on CNY.
His mother then put all the blame on his wife. Said she turn their son against them.
Actually, the main reason is that my friend want to break away from his father's shadow. Got nothing to do with the wife.
But somehow the other half always get the blame.

guy oso bery poor thing......sandwiched between parents and wife.......
some parents bery protective over their only son.....esp the mother.....keep thinking tt wife is taking son away from her....
wah laoz.....son grow up liao of cos mus get married and start own family liao mah........
if she dun let son go then how she going to bao sun zi........? -
a parent does what they can, bringing the children up, then setting them free...
by trying their damnest to hold them back is not only selfish (no other word for it), it only causes misery and will emotionally cripple their children...

As an outsider I also can't do much.
So I make it a point to visit them during X'mas Day and CNY lor.
They are actually a very friendly couple. If only his parents and him can patch up again.

i will move out but only when my obligations to my parents have been fulfilled. and den only if my brother has not already married and moved out. -

ELDEST son - So called the next Man in power after the father...Most parents have high hopes on their first child...
Only Son - Some parents still put their hopes in sons...and parents tend to pamper the only son...same scenario for only daughter....cos the child of the other gender are in "abundance"
Youngest son - Parents esp Mothers tend to dote on their youngest child. Any attempt to "take them away" by their wives are responded with unimaginable wrath...
Now that doesnt leave the gals with much choice is there....that is why the MOTHER-IN-LAW and DAUGHTER-IN-LAW conflict....always lingers around.... -
