Time is 2.23am, post a joke before I Zzzzzzz......
A noted botanist gave instructions for a dish of mushrooms, which he had gathered himself, to be cooked for dinner expressly for his wife.
The latter, who was particularly fond of them, was highly delighted at her husbandÂ’s thoughtfulness and thanked him with much gusto.
At breakfast next morning, he greeted her anxiously.
‘Sleep all right?’ he inquired.
‘Splendidly,’ she answered.
‘Not sick at all, no pains?’
‘Why, of course not dear,’ she responded in surprise.
‘EUREKA,’ yelled the botanist. ‘I’ve discovered another mushroom species that isn’t poisonous!’ -
