"Jo, over here!" Jason was waving at me at our usual seat in the cafe. I smiled politely and made my way over.
I've been 'going out' with Jason ever since he got into a fight for me. After all he did got a warning and dimerit points. I must admit this was out of a guilty conscience more than anything else. Although I do admit he was a really nice guy and enjoyable companion, but there was simply no chemistry. Well at least at my end.
I smiled and nodded politely while Jason happily telling me about his upcoming with his parents to Bali next week during term break. I stared out of the window at the traffic goes by. I still miss Vince terribly, he's been avoiding me in school and not picking up my calls. How I longed to explained to him about me and Jason.
"Jo? Ok?"
I turned around and smiled. "Yah, sure."
"Great! Wow it'll be really fun! I promise u!"
"Huh? Fun?"
"Yah, Bali is a very nice place! We can go scuba diving together!"
"Bali?" I thought he was asking me if I'm ok, what Bali?
"Yah, I asked if u wanna go bali with us and u said ok. Right?"
Damn! What have I gotten myself into?
"Err... Yah. But... but what would your parents think? And... err... I dunnoe.. hmmm... if my parents will allow." I stuttered, trying to come up with excuses that sounds sensible.
"My parents would be ok as long as I'm happy. But you're right, your parents might not be too happy about that..."
Looking at Jason's disappointed face, I felt really bad. I'm hurting a nice guy again and again. Suddenly I really hate myself.... -
