Unwritten Poem
Unspoken wordsÂ…
Waiting to be said out, but yet held back each time
at the tip of the tongue and stored forever in the mind
Unfelt heartÂ…
Too deep inside, still beating while turning cold with hurt
and hardened, yet too weak to be broken once more
Unknown desiresÂ…
Heaved upon without ever being expressed, suppressed for too long
and as silent as the night can be, yet screaming to be thrown out
Unnoticed tearsÂ…
Running down the cheeks, to flow onto the shirt thatÂ’s worn
too late to wipe away, a stain that will dry off
Unused opportunitiesÂ…
Gone by in a swift as quick as the lightning, refusing to wait around
until realized, however much they were taken for granted
Unheard CriesÂ…
Full of agony yet again full of hopes, mingling with the still air
to travel the distance to someoneÂ’s ears, but failing every try
Uncontrolled desperationÂ…
Despaired upon hopelessly and unknowingly allowed to flood with rage
subjugated with a reckless fury, and eventually let out in a stampede
Uncherished momentsÂ…
Came along and glided away in a flash, none ever treasured
yet still lingering at the back of the mind, waiting to be dreamt
Unforgiven mistakesÂ…
Repeated several times over, however, never once pardoned
like a spilled milk grieved upon, carried for life with regrets
Unwritten PoemÂ…
Thought about for long, however not formed into words
nor the language chosen, for it was never meant to be read
For all of which shall forever remain as a cluster, in a poem unwritten
