There are reasons and there are seasons...
There is a reason for this planetÂ’s ritual of rotation,
No doubt, it gives us morning, noon and night;
There is a reason for its path around the sun,
In short, it gives us seasons, darkness, light.
At night, in this season of early days
When clouds are rare and the sun is nowhere to be seen,
I lie in pensive motion, my eyes upon the midnight sky. I gaze
At the sparkling motion of jewels that light the sky with sheen.
They deck the heavens, not unlike the bulbs of Christmas tree,
In careful patterns, a logic bound by time, space and mystery,
Not strewn in random thoughtlessness or without care,
So those who question the magic of this logic, do beware.
There is a reason for the icy flakes that hug the ground
And hereÂ’s the season for the snow to float softly down,
In every flake, a star is born – unique and true,
In every star, a thought does grow – in me and you.
So here I am, I write this line with purpose and imagination,
Inspired by the light and magic of this Constellation.

P.S. This is meant to be the Foreword for a school publication of students' and teachers' written works entitled 'Constellation.'
Just felt that the theme of reasons and seasons sort of fizzled out towards the end.... and felt that some rhymes sound a bit forced like "do beware"...
Perhaps something that explores how each word is placed to convey a meaning or inspiration (reason)... how each work sparkled and is selected (reason) etc... would be nice as a foreword to a collection of works....??
Just my feeling
