An Ode to Krispie
Little brown doughnuts
Baked by fingers worn
Kneaded with lingering warmth
In the sun that lies on her back
Bloodrush
A queue turns nasty, hissing.
Sugarrush
Two kids fight in a parking lot
of a Singaporean school .
Some crumbs decorate the earth
Lies caked in the sun.
Drying.
Dried.
But one Krispie finds
the one true path to salivation.
In the atomic hands of its love,
who gives unto another beloved?
Little irradiated doughnut.

A very delightful piece. I am not sure if you can call it an ode but what the heck.
