TAKE CARE and GOOD LUCK..Originally posted by DeadPoet:I think some of you are aware that I am having some problems with my personal life. In fact it isnÂ’t just about one problem but a few problems and one of them is regarding my career.
The fact is IÂ’ve been unemployed for almost a year. I canÂ’t remember how many application letters and resumes I have sent out. Although it is getting more difficult for me to stay positive after going through one rejection after another, but I am determine to hang on. Luckily things are looking brighter now.
I wish to take this opportunity to thank all my friends here for your supports and concerns. It has been a tough ride but I am glad that you guys are here with me.
Thanks.
Same to you. Be cool okay.Originally posted by Devil1976:TAKE CARE and GOOD LUCK..

Can I do something about the situation? If can, great, if cannot since I canÂ’t do anything about it now, leave it aside.
If the situation is really that bad, do I have any choices? Yes, either you stay positive and fight on or give up and be miserable.
Is my conscience clear? If yes, then there is nothing to be afraid, if not admit you are wrong and change.
I have lost counts on the number of times I broke down and cried for no reasons or stared at the ceiling in the middle of the night unable to sleep. To be honest it is very difficult to stay positive, but somehow life must goes on.
Thanks again Owl^. But I prefer to read poems and I don't see myself as a poet, more like a facilitator. Beside, how to survive in Singapore?Originally posted by Owl^:May Lord christ bless ye ever n ever...

Hope things are improving for you. And as for rejections, I get them all the time (life as a writer sometimes sucks monkey balls), so my heart goes out to you. The upside of things, though, is that rejections usually let you know where you're lacking, and where to apply yourself in the future... afterall, self-improvement is a cornerstone of progress.
Here's a suggestion -- why not freelance for a bit? It gives you ample chances to test-drive the industries you're interested in, and you can always ask to be converted full-time later if the employers are appreciative of your work.

Too late. Sucks monkey balls!.Originally posted by peebrain:Lol, I patented the expression! it's all mine, mine, MINE!
There's also huge-ass balls and granola balls. But monkey balls will always remain a staunch favourite of mine.
I had a few very low periods in my life. Guess this is just one of them. By the way, when I am depress, I can't write poem.Originally posted by Devil1976:......
Take care my friend.
At the 'extremes' of your life, try to write some extreme poems...? It'll be really something quite difficult... And maybe when you look back at them years down the line... You'll just learn to appreciate your life much better...?
I would say it's survival skills in the corporate and business world. It's just a tool. It's how u use it.Originally posted by DeadPoet:What exactly is that book about? Management skills?
