lol it's a case of sheer desire eclipsing practicalities more than anything else.
and the narrator's fully aware of the dangers of getting back with an ex: it's all too likely the very problems that drove them apart will continue to exist, and it's something she will have to deal with.
hence she says "Sweet Chameleon.. so what if it ends where the sun doesn't shine"...
but right here, right now, all she wants to win her lover back. it's all very complicated. and very autobiographical.
(then again, my life's a series of complications and i like it just fine.
