Hmm. I am not sure, depending on my moods I guess. But I like contemporary poems especially those with good images and a twist in the ending.Originally posted by ellzrae:Harlow,
Just wondering, what kind of poetry do you all write..? dark dank poetry, whimsical musings, clean tangy haiku, wierd visualisations, wordy writs, lovey lyrics or some other thing altogether..? (like some old frankenstein). Just like to know what you guys like... haha, pls invoke names of poets we should read if it helps.
You no like to read my blog ah?Originally posted by expiringpoet:Interesting topic
I like philosophy, religion and am understanding different aspects of relationships and life. These are topics close to my heart so naturally I find myself writing about these things. Mostly, my poems are contemplative, like Liz, I seldom find it easy to write about upbeat topics - perhaps i use writing as a balm, a healing process to help me deal with things I'm trying to understand.
Poetry blogs I like and visit (no particular order):
1. Cyril walks in uninvited
2. Reader's Eye
3. I-Land, I- Site

I write free-style poems. I write whenever inspiration strikes me, and somehow, the inspiration takes on very rhyming forms.
Hello crofty, do you have a blog?Originally posted by crofty:Free-style poems I do not like to be restricted to a category alone like love poems or life and death poems
However,only for leisure
Welcome back PB!Originally posted by peebrain:Well I usually write about the human condition... what makes us grieve, or rejoice, or hope, or despair.
Though work these days is taking me away from writing poetry... something that I intend to address soon.
