Dont spoil market leh you. I used to be unaffected by the high-class carbons like you, until I stepped foot in a jewellery shop to get my first ring for my wedding. That was the fatal step in a downward spiral that can only lead to an unhappy end for poor me!!! I get starry-eyed when I see magazines with Tiffany's wedding ring ads, just can't help myself.Originally posted by Bluesky_Liz:I don't live up to the stereotype or at least this stereotype . I'm a nerd, I'll take the videogames thanks.
Hope you guys had happy V's.

To look on the positive side, blinking regularly helps to moisten the eyes and keep them healthy
That's it.Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:Maybe you can buy her expensive pencils if she's a writer.

I guess I don't understand the value of them. They look nice if a person knows how to wear them, accessorise with the right clothes and all. But I was told that diamonds lose their value the minute you buy them. Is it true?
How tiny is that?Originally posted by tare:^5
so i'm not the only woman ard who doesn't appreciate diamonds
look at it, i'll go... "wah nice leh" but see only... plus why spend so much $$ on something tat i dun wear
then again even for a woman who dun wear accessories, i do own ONE tiny diamond ring... a gift from myself to myself... who say diamond rings must be given by a guy? tat reminds me.... now whr on earth issit??!!!
I can't drop that line because then the story would become disjointed. That part is kinda rough that's for sure. I'll probably rephrase it in later edits.Originally posted by DeadPoet:Although it could use some trimming for example considers dropping “she took it” in L2; I love the last four lines and its ending
And yes I still owe my wife a diamond ring.
Guy giving girl a diamond ring has become such a cliche that it's almost a joke sometimes, yet that's what they are advertising. "Fly me to the moon" and she hold it up against the sky with tears in her eyes. It seems to me like she can't decide if she likes the diamond or her boyfriend.Originally posted by tare:Then again even for a woman who dun wear accessories, i do own ONE tiny diamond ring... a gift from myself to myself... who say diamond rings must be given by a guy? tat reminds me.... now whr on earth issit??!!!

have u ever tried putting one on your finger? Somehow the effect of wearing a gorgeous ring on your finger is just magical. Makes you feel equally gorgeous and so grown up.Originally posted by Bluesky_Liz:
