  Volunteers Needed!
  
  We are looking for volunteers (Friends of DSP) to assist us in organizing our activities such as,
  
  1) Poetry Writing Competition
  2) Coffee Sessions
  3) Gatherings, etc.
  
  At the same time, we are also looking for volunteers # who are keen in promoting Poetry and playing a part in the growth of DPS. We believe in having an open mind and there are no problems we canÂ’t solve together. So if you are interested, we want to hear from you.

  Current Voluntary Groups in DPS
  
  Moderators (Upon invitation only)
  Friends of DPS (All are welcome to join)
  Working Committee (Subject to approval)
  Judges, for Judges' Choice Category (Upon invitation only)
  
  # You might be required to join our newly form working committee. (subject to approval) You might also be invited for an informal coffee session in order for us to get to know you better.
  
  DPS Poetry Writing Competition
  
  For Friends of DPS
  
  You might be required to assist in the designing of poster.
  We need you to publicize the competition to your friends who might be interested to participate in the competition.
  We need you to vote for your favourite poems in the Open Category.
  If you write poems, we need your support by participating in the competition.
  
  For Working Committee
  
  You will be in charge of organizing the competition from deciding on the theme, invitation letters to the judges, monitoring the votes, organizing the prize presentation coffee session, etc
  In the future we might need you to source for sponsors for our prizes.
  We might also near you to publicize the competition to schools.
  
  Poetry Reading and Book Launching Session
  
  For Friends of DPS
  
  In time when none of the moderators are free to attend the above-mentioned events, we might need you to coordinate and attend them on behalf of DPS. We also need you to share your experience with the rest of us in DPS after the event.
  
  For Working Committee
  
  As above
  Send out “Thank You” notes to organizers.
  You are also required to represent DPS to attend meetings held by other literacy groups in Singapore.
  
  DPS Coffee Sessions and Activities
  
  For Friends of DPS
  
  We need you to source for ideal locations for our coffee sessions & poetry reading sessions and of course to attend them if you are free.
  
  For Working Committee
  
  As above
  You will be in charge of organizing DPS Coffee Session and Activities such as poetry reading sessions. DonÂ’t worry we will take turns.
  Suggest and plan other interesting activities
  
  Other ways you can help us
  
  For Friends of DPS
  
  If you have a blog, we need your help to publicize our activities such as our poetry writing competition.
  We need you to assist in monitoring the forum and alert the Moderators if you notice any inappropriate materials being posted in DPS.
  We need you to publicize DPS to your friends especially those who are interested in poetry.
  If possible, we need you to create creative poetry writing exercises and or other interesting threads in DPS
  
  For Working Committee
  
  As above
  You are required to attend our online meetings on a regular basis.
  You are required to work closely with the Moderators.
  You are required to source for other platforms to promote DPS.
  You are also required to establish and maintain good rapport with poets. (both local and overseas)
  
  For those who are interested in joining the Working Committee you need to have interest in organizing/planning activities and meeting people.
  
  For the time being, these are all I can think of.

  Wow, sounds like fun but too bad, I can't volunteer. I guess I could be your kopi-soh or maitre'd.

  Frankly I think we have quite a few Friends of DPS here in sgforums. It is the working committee that we are having problems.
