Suggestion: Regarding Competition

  Dear friends,
  
  As you know, we organized two poetry writing competition every year during Apr/May (Announcement & Submissions/ Voting & Results) and Oct/Nov. However, according to some feedbacks, these periods are not a good time as they clash with the examinations.
  
  In view of this may I have some suggestions from you guys? I am thinking of Feb/Mar and Sep/Oct instead. Or maybe we organized once instead of twice a year?

  hmm.maybe extending the closing time would do the trick?
  
  anyway...pperhaps right...to encourage more entries,more themes can be included for each competition?

  Once a year sounds just right Can't have too much of a good thing!

  Occasionally we do organized competitions without any particular theme. But I thought it is easier to write with theme?

  Studies has shown that people are generally either more depressed or very joyous (from drunkenness?) in December.
  
  Either state should induce people to write more, becos it's generally believed that people tend to express themselves more when they're very happy or very depressed.

  That's the start of the either semester in NUS/NTU.
  
  I support this motion. I can't join the competition right now - not with project deadlines to meet and exams in four weeks' time.

  So I guess Jan/Feb & Jul/Aug should be a good time to held our competitions. What about our friends from other schools? Are you comfortable with the date?
