Dear All,
We hope that this email finds everyone well. The purpose of this email is to elicit a few insights in your personal diet of book reading, or should we phrase it clearer, as in:
"Could you name us a few of your favourite authors / poets? Or any author / poet that you fervently believe is a MUST-HAVE in any self-respectable bookstore, such as ours?"
Yes, yes, currently we are trying to fine-tune our stocks, and what better way to do it than getting feedback from everyone. And armed with your suggestions, we will next go loot a bank, carry the big bag of money, and go straight to our suppliers, buy the books, and then job well done, pats on everyone's back all around!!
Okay, enough of our drivel, please suggest away.

there's this series of 101 poems by daisy goodwin.
basically it's like an anthology and daisy goodwin compile poems from all over for it. they have 101 poems to get through night day, 101 poems to fall in love with..etc... -

1)The Hite Report On Male Sexuality
2) The Hite Report : A Nationwide Study of Female Sexuality
3) The Touch of Fire by Linda Howard
4) Thy Neighbor's Wife by Gay Talese
5) Sex In History by Reay Tannahill
Seriously lah, anything by W. Somerset Maugham.

I can't think of any must-haves specifically, but I would like to see more contemporary poetry collections.

Well... we certainly need more of the local obviously. As for overseas, maybe they can get more books from countries other than the US? I'll be interested in those coming out of Africa, the Middle East or Europe (excluding Britain).Originally posted by DeadPoet:Local or overseas? -

I was at Borders and Kino today. Anyway, Borders (my second choice to look for books, Kino for obvious reasons being 1st) had a brochure of 100 books you'll love till you die. I dont necessarily agree with their choices, some of which are appalling but i think it'll be good for Kenny to consider featuring/marketing something along those lines like :
Top 10 local poetry books
Top 10 local writers works
Top 10 classical literature
Top 10 local plays
so on so forth...
I think readers would always welcome recommendations from store owners. -

But seriously i think it's best tt B.A focus on something more unique or niche, cos I would just go to Kino if i wanted any of the above, becos of their size, they can have more range.
