Well, I chose the Esplanade because it is a symbol of what we have taken to be our own symbol of how artificial terms and names, can be made so familiar and local, i.e "Durians".
The Esplanade was the State's idea of progress into the arts scene, yet, we have a long way to go before it is a real incubator of talent, not just a fancy place to hangout with.. something like Singapore itself, trying to look funky but we all know that the substance isn't there yet, and hopefully, it appears one day.
I just don't want to admit it is pig liver because I really hate it. As far as I know you are first person who use it in a poem.
